Description: Parcel data was created by Judy Bond of Grassroots GIS and the City of Winooski. Zoning designations were taken from a georeferenced overlay of a hand drawn zoning map adopted in 1981. Parcels that were completely within a zone were attributed as such. Parcels that were spllit between two different zones were designated using the following criteria: Current zoning on the street side of parcel, zone the majority of parcel falls into, the zoning district that would provide the highest use of the parcel (between the two zones). In all but one case properties were designated one zoning district. Rivers, roads and railroads were removed from zoning districts. Finally, the parcel data was dissovled into their respective zones.
